The Alumni Association of University of Peradeniya proudly present the screening of the movie Gauthama Buddha Matha at 2.30 pm on Sunday 18th May at the Hollywood Cinema, Avondale. Directed by Professor Sunil Ariyaratne, Gautama Buddha Matha is a cinematic portrayal inspired by the life of Mahapajapati Gotami, a revered queen and one of the earliest followers of the Buddha. The movie features a powerful musical score composed by Dr. Rohana Weerasinghe, cinematography by Channa Deshapriya and renowned Indian and Sri Lankan actors.
Proceeds from the sale of tickets for this movie along with sponsorships will be used to fund our ongoing projects aimed at helping the University of Peradeniya and its students.
